Experience that impact our decisions.

I believe our experiences impact on our decisions because when you experience things you make mistakes or you try to make what’s best of something. I believe when people make decisions in their own lives they try not to make the same mistakes and learn from past experiences and what they have done to change their future. I believe that these decisions impact on our lives because when someone makes the same mistake over and over again, the person does not consider this mistake an issue but just something that does not really matter to them. When I was younger in my child years I told my friends I had everything I wanted and told them that I could do things that I really couldn’t. I told them I could do cartwheels, flips, ride a bike really well, and like even swimming really fast. I used to say these things but when it came down to actually trying to prove myself I really could not do any of these things. Then around 1st grade I realized that it is not a good thing to lie to your friends because really you make friends by showing who you really are and they really are supposed to like you for you. It was a past experience and I believe that it was something that I did learn and as I grew up I really was able to be around people I really enjoy being around.
I feel like Chris McCandless died with no regrets or sadness because he did what he wanted and lived his life to the fullest of his abilities.

best advice:D

The best advice I have ever gotten was probably advice about college. I wanted to go to a college that was near where I lived and I wanted to go somewhere that was a small school. I also was not comfortable with dorming so i did not want to dorm when I went to college. I made my decision by going to gwenedd mercy and I applied there because I had advice from my friend and she said it was a good school for education.

Stones Into SChools

1. what i like from the book Stones into schools is that it is written about now of day society and how obama is trying to change the education system for students. It is all based on political news and how the society needs to change based on the education being taught around them.
2. I noticed that this book is all fact which kind of gets to me because i understand the material well but i am not gaining too much interest. It is a good book with good inferences and facts but it is not a book i would pick off the shelf and read again.
4. Obama>> as the care taker of the situations because hes the current president.
Symbol>> violence could get involoved around schools if problems arent taken care of but the government is putting strong hands on the whole thing.

Twitter Conversation
Lessons Learned...

Me: Hey Che!!!!!!!~

Che: Hey Sonya!
How are you today??
What do you want to talk about?

Me: I want to talk about...hmm
Let’s see
Why are you going to South America???
What is your main purpose for this trip?
How do you think it will benefit your life in any way?

Che: I think that this trip will open up a new door for me. I feel that it will be an opportunity for me to go out and try all different kinds of new things.

Me: I feel that you are going through something more than just a journey. It almost seems like a waste of time but it’s all about the experience. What is your specific goal in going all around South America before you die? I feel that you do not have a good reason to go all around the country. For what? Meeting new strangers you have met before.

Che: It’s more than just that... I am more interested in meeting the people because of the culture around them. I want to learn and experience something new before I die. I feel that a desire or a want that you cannot take away.
Me: But, still don't you want to go more all around different countries other than South America. I feel that you would get to see more than just what you are experiencing.

Independent Reading Book

1. What's it called and who wrote it? Genre? What's your book about?

2. How does your book connect one of your passions to a possible career?

3. And finally, what kind of project(s) might your book lend itself to.

If possible, find an image of your book's cover and include it as well.

ROad Trip:D

If I were to go on a trip dealing with 8 to 10 destinations I would go around Europe because I wanted to explore the different cultures. I would also like to go to the Caribbean's because of all the different beaches and the variety of fresh fruit. I thinking going to the carribeans would be a more of a peaceful trip to go and get away from everything. I think I would want to go to Europe and go shopping and do multiple things to get around and just go with the flow. I would want to go to fashion shows and just walk on the streets like Newyork and shop and look around. I Would also like to go to the Eifel tower, and london to see alot of different sights.

Books that catch my attention

Personally, I am not a big fan when it comes to books and reading them. I have a hard time finishing a book because the fact that they can be factual but boring, and honestly very long. I believe when I was a kid however books that caught my attention were books with big pictures and and large letters. I realized that all my life I never really read books for pleasure so I have a hard time reading in general. I am a big person for magazines probably because of the pictures. I feel that a book at times does appeal to me by its cover but even since reading most of the books in highschool i lost interest in reading for quite some time.

New Semester:D Reflection and resolution~!!!

1. What went really well last marking period was actually the discussions we had every wednesday about the novel Invisible Man and it helped me understand parts that I was struggling in. I really grasped the book well by talking to my peers and, got a deeper meaning of the book. To continue to have the same successes is just keep doing what I did and just talk about the book with the peers around me to understand everything in the novel.

2. I feel I want to write themes differently and have better revisions for myself. I actually want more people to revise my theme so it is a better theme overall. What I would change for the 2nd semester is just taking more time with my theme and just having the best revision possible.

3. My resolution for the next semester is not to procrastinate on my reading and not to wait till the last minute because it is hard not to because we only have 2 marking periods left.

Invisible Man Reflection!!!

1. From reading the novel Invisible Man, Self Realization came to play when the Narrator talked about himself actually being the Invisible Man. In the beginning the Narrator mentions that he is trapped in a basement and it is really dark. When it comes close to the end of the novel the Narrator is revealed that he was ended up stuck where he was and it was a flashback that was being explained all along. Also the author was called the Invisible Man because he was never perceived the same way as the white people which made the Narrator really sad, even though he was a well educated black man. This story explained a lot about how the passed was like for african americans and also what the Narrator went through as the story progressed until he was back where he had started.

2. In my life my personal reach for myself is that I know my identity by seeing how i react around people and just by meeting new people. I figure out my personality more and more everyday and it never stops because I change a little bit more everyday. I feel that i am different from everyday else just like the Invisible Man and i feel i can relate because their is more to come and so i will never know my future because their is a goal but for not it is invisible in my eyes. I believe I am at a really important stage in my life where i kind of need to know my future and need to have something drawn out in my head. I feel that going to college is very important and also getting a proficient education is very significant as well. I feel that in my life right now there are a lot of bad decisions I could be making but I am taking the rode less traveled so it makes all the difference.
